NRB Bank Limited introduced the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system recently, which is a great achievement for the banking sector of Bangladesh and should also be treated as a landmark in the achievement of dream for Digital Bangladesh. Mr. Muklesur Rahman – Managing Director and CEO of NRB Bank Limited, the veteran banker Mr. Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, Zeeshan Hasib – Deputy Managing Director along with other high officials of NRB Bank were present on the occasion.

[The RTGS, which can be defined as the continuous (real-time) settlement of funds transfers (T+0) individually on an order by order basis (without netting). ‘Real time’ means the processing of instructions at the time they are received rather than at some later time. ‘Gross Settlement’ means the settlement of funds individually without netting with other transactions.]
